Bondage tape and restraint wraps

This category includes bondage tape, non-sticky pleasure wrap, plastic ribbon and long straps for temporary restraint. Many tape products are designed to wrap over themselves without adhesive touching the skin, but this must be confirmed on the individual product page. Household electrical, packing or other adhesive tape is not an equivalent product.

Types and differences

• Non-sticky bondage tape: smooth wrap that clings to or is held by its own layers.
• Plastic pleasure wrap: thin ribbon supplied in a stated roll width and length.
• Bondage straps: wider strips in different lengths that do not work like tape.
• Body wraps and bags: larger products that need their own checks for opening and release.

Application and quick release

Check length, width, thickness, stretch, adhesion method and whether the product is intended for one or multiple uses. Leave enough room to avoid restricting circulation and monitor colour, temperature and sensation in the limbs. Do not wrap the neck, obstruct the mouth or nose, or restrict breathing with a tight chest wrap. Prepare suitable safety scissors or the release tool recommended by the manufacturer and keep it immediately accessible. Never direct a blade towards the skin, and do not use tape for suspension or supporting body weight. After use, follow the product directions for cleaning, reuse or disposal.
