A butt plug is a cone- or teardrop-shaped toy with a wide base that's inserted into the anus and stays in place without active holding. The base stops full insertion. It comes in different sizes, materials (silicone, stainless steel, glass) and designs. The three main materials. Medical silicone: the most common, flexible, body-safe, easy to clean; downside, not compatible with silicone lubricants. Stainless steel: heavy, smooth, an excellent thermal conductor (can be warmed or chilled), more durable but pricier. Glass (borosilicate): smooth, hard, excellent aesthetics, easy to clean; risk, breaking if dropped. For beginners: silicone. For the experienced: steel or glass for a different sensation.
Tail plugs add a decorative, playful element. Design-wise: a silicone or steel base, functionally the same as a classic plug; a tail of synthetic fur (fox, rabbit, pony) or silicone (snake); a tail length of 30-80 cm. Functionally the same as classics, with care in cleaning the fur.
