Clamps (nipple clamps, clitoral clamps) are small mechanical pieces that squeeze the nipples or clitoris, creating pressure and increased sensitivity. Types: tweezer style, scissor-like with adjustable pressure, beginner-friendly; clover/Japanese, which tighten more the more they're pulled, intense; magnetic, magnetic pressure with no visible mechanism; and adjustable screw, with screw-set pressure. They often connect to a chain or weights for extra sensation.

It depends on setting and duration. First use: moderate pressure from a tweezer style for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Increasing use: raise pressure gradually; a maximum time of 5 minutes at first, building to 15-20 minutes; watch the colour, where pink is OK and blue/purple means too much. The removal sensation: a momentary intense sensitivity as blood returns. Many users report this is the most intense moment. After removal: pink colour and heightened sensitivity for 30-60 minutes.

Similar mechanism, different area. Nipple clamps: larger, designed for the more resilient nipples, with medium to strong pressure. Clitoral clamps: smaller, with a gentler mechanism given the sensitive area, often with an adjustable screw for precise control. Placement: on the hood (clitoral cover) and not directly on the clitoris, since sensitivity is so high that direct can be unbearable. Maximum time 5-10 minutes for the clitoris versus 15-20 for nipples.

Extra stimulation elements. A chain between two clamps: pulling the chain tightens the clamps and intensifies the pressure momentarily, often in a D/s dynamic where the dom pulls. Weights: hang from each clamp or from a chain; with movement they swing and cause continuous light tugging, also for prolonged static positions. Weights are usually 25-100 grams. The choice: a chain for active activity, weights for passive holding.

Points of care. Maximum continuous use: 20 minutes for nipples, 10 minutes for the clitoris; beyond that, a risk of tissue circulation problems. If blue/purple colour or numbness appears, remove immediately. Not with neuropathy, breast cancer, mastitis, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Not on broken skin. For diabetics with poor circulation, see a doctor first. With unusual pain afterwards, see a doctor. Permanent nerve damage is rare but real.
