Crops: a thin rod with a leather square at the tip, precise. Materials: genuine leather, faux leather, silicone. Each type gives a different sensation, from a light tickle to a sharp sting.
Safe striking areas: the buttocks, the most common zone with thick muscle; the upper back at the shoulder blade; the outer thigh; and the chest (with care on a female chest). Forbidden areas: the spine; the kidneys (the flanks); the neck, face and eyes; the genitals (unless a light specialised crop); the abdomen; and over blood vessels (arteries, veins). Always with a safe word, gradual intensity and monitoring of the skin's reaction.
