A chastity cage is a structure that surrounds the penis, restricting erection and masturbation. It's held by a ring around the testicles and base of the penis and locks with a padlock. Types: plastic (light, cheap), silicone (flexible, comfortable), and metal/steel (heavy, stable, premium). In chastity play, the dominant holds the key and controls when the submissive can remove the cage. Duration ranges from hours to weeks.
Gradual adjustment. First time: 1-2 hours to get used to it. First week: 4-8 hours a day. Moderate level: 12-24 hours with removal for cleaning. Extended use: days to weeks with regular 30-60 minute breaks for cleaning. Points of care: not 24/7 without breaks, since air and cleaning are essential; remove immediately if dermatitis, colour change or pain appears; and during sleep nocturnal erections can occur and hurt, so beginners should remove it at night.
Two measurements are critical. Cage length: equal to the penis when flaccid (not erect); too large slips, too small compresses. Emergency release is a safety system for removing the cage in an emergency without the normal key. Variants: a second key kept somewhere safe (a deposit box, a parent's house) accessible only in need; an emergency key in a sealed envelope that's broken only in an emergency; plastic locks that break by hand; and combination padlocks with separately stored code knowledge. In a medical emergency, a doctor can cut the cage off.
